Teaching Children to Memorise the Holy Quran

Have you ever see a child memorised the holy Quran? If your answer is no. You can see the children memorised the holy Quran.

Many parents want their children become Hafiz and Hafizah of holy Quran. The reason is the holy Quran is the holy book of Islam. However, many parents do not know how to teach their children or the parents just ask their children to study in bording school (pesantren). In boarding school, the students study the holy and memorise the holy Quran.

Today, I attend the talk show about teaching holy Quran to children. The speaker are the parents who had success to teach their children to memorise the Quran. Besides, the commitee invite Ulama as the famous teacher about memorising Quran. The most interesting is sharing time. The  parents share their experience about teaching children to memorise the Quran. The first speaker is the parents of Ilya (sorry if the name is mistake). The parents said the steps of how to teach the children and the steps are as below:
1. Planning to teach the children about memorising Quran
2. Pregnant, the mother read Quran, one day one juz of Quran (you can add more than one juz)
3. The baby is 0-6 months, the mother gives Talqin to baby (talqin is giving information to ear of the baby) about reading holy Quran.
4. The baby is six months, the mother implements seeing, hearing and informing method. The mother teaches the letter of holy Quran (huf hijaiyyah) to the baby, even though the baby does not respond the mother's performance, but the mother believes that the baby receipt the information. The mother did it until the baby can communicate with her.
5. When the baby can communicate, the mother teaches the baby about reading Quran correctly. Besdies, the mother play the audio of Quran. The first audio is the last juz (juz 30). By playing the audio, the children will memorise the surah automatically or little by little.
6. The last is Murajaah, The Murajaah is must, there is no negotiation with it. The more you murajaah, the more you remember the Quran and if you do not do murajaah, your memory will get lost and forget the Quran.

That's all the steps how to teach the holy Quran to the children.

Antara Puasa Nazar dan Puasa Senin-Kamis

Saya pernah memiliki niat untuk bernazar jika impian saya tercapai. Ternyata impian saya dikabulkan Allah swt (alhamdulillah). Terus saya melaksanakan nazar tersebut. Ditengan-tengah pelaksanaan nazar saya, saya melakukan puasa nazar di hari senin (atau kamis, saya lupa) sehingga teman saya yang lain juga ikut sahur. Terus, saya berniat untuk berpuasa sunnah senin dan nazar. Waktu itu suara niatnya saya sedikit kedengaran (niat saya menggunakan bahasa Indonesia "sengaja aku puasa sunnah senin dan nazar lillahi taala"). Kemudian, teman saya menegur saya dan langsung melakukan commentar bahwa niatnya didahulukan puasa nazar terus puasa sunnah senin. Dengan komentar itu saya langsung mengubah redaksi niat saya. Teman saya yang memberikan komentar tersebut adalah alumni Al Azhar Cairo.  Namun sampai saat ini saya belum pernah membaca alasan kenapa harus niat puasa nazar terlebih dahulu dibanding puasa sunnah hari senin.
